Listed below are hazardous goods labels.



Segregation table

The following table shows the general requirements for segregation between the various classes of dangerous goods. Since the properties of substances or articles within each class may vary greatly, the individual schedules should always be consulted for particular requirements for segregation as these take precedence over the general requirements.
Segregation should also take account of a single subsidiary risk label.

Numbers and symbols relate to the following terms as defined in this section:

1 - "Away from"
2 - "Separated from"
3 - "Separated by a complete compartment or hold from"
4 - "Separated longitudinally by an intervening complete compartment or hold from"
X - The segregation, if any, is shown in the individual schedules
* - See subsection 6.2 of the introduction to class 1 for segregation within class 1

Firstair Worldwide Logistics cannot be held liable for damage resulting from missing or wrong data. Segregation inside a container.

If an X is mentioned in the segregation table that means: In general you can stuff the commodities into the same container. However, you must check the individual IMDG-Code pages.

If an * is mentioned in the segregation table that means: Stowage as per special section IMO 1 in the IMDG-Code.

If a 1 is mentioned in the segregation table that means: You are only allowed to stuff these commodities into the same container with an approval of the Competent Authority.

If a 2, 3, or 4 is mentioned in the segregation table that means:
You are not allowed to stuff these commodities into the same container. (Unless in Limited Quantities.)  

"Separated From" can sometimes also be found on the individual pages. In that case you are to handle the same as with a 2 in the segregation table.

"Away From" can sometimes also be found on the individual pages. In that case you are to handle the same as with a 1 in the segregation .
